Our goal at the Center is not to deprive you of the foods you enjoy. Rather, we endeavor to introduce you to equally delicious but healthy alternatives. Our award-winning chef has perfected a full array of nutritious meals that are just as pleasing to the palate as they are to the eye. At the Pritikin Longevity Center, you’ll enjoy sumptuous dishes such as Stone Crabs, Grilled Bison Steak, Herb Crepes Filled With Ricotta and Sundried Tomatoes, Soba Noodle Stir-Fry, and Maine Lobster. And when you sample our Chocolate Mousse or Sweet Potato Souffle, you may feel as if you’re indulging in forbidden treats, but rest assured, you’re not.
As you’re learning to enjoy healthier meals, our chefs and dietitians will show you in cooking classes how to recreate such delicacies in your own kitchen. And because many of our guests travel for business and pleasure, we’ll provide you with a multitude of tips, all very easy and practical, for making healthy, tasty choices when dining out.
Perhaps most importantly, we’ll teach you how to weave the habit of healthy eating into the fabric of your everyday life. For it is only by fully embracing lifelong changes in diet and nutrition that our guests achieve long-term weight loss.

Weight Loss: What to Expect
Most guests begin to lose weight during their stay at the Pritikin Longevity Center. Research has documented that Pritikin guests in need of weight loss shed 12 pounds and more within three weeks of starting the Pritikin Program (Archives of Internal Medicine, 151: 1389, 1991). The majority achieve their most dramatic results in the months after they leave the resort.
