Diabetes "Miracle"

"My blood pressure this morning was 114/60. My cholesterol is 120. Not bad for an 80-year-old guy! In my 25 years of going to Pritikin, I've seen many, well, I have to call them miracles. I especially remember a pharmacist from Norfolk, Virginia. He was a diabetic. His doctors had told him that his toes and possibly his feet would need to be amputated. Instead of signing up for surgery, he flew out to Pritikin. At our graduating ceremony at Pritikin, 30 days after he arrived, he took off his shoes and stockings and showed everyone, his eyes full of tears, his big pink, healthy foot. Then he started dancing! And we all danced with him. Now that's a memory." |
