Pritikin Brownie

Materials

  • 1/4 cup canola oil (or apple sauce)
  • 1/4 cup water warm
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweeted)
  • 1/2 cup Splenda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup egg whites
  • 1/2 cup flour (whole wheat)
  • 1/4 cup nuts chopped, or raisons

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven at 350 F
  • Lightly grease an 8 inch square pan or line with greased paper
  • In a medium bowl combine oil, water and cocoa powder and stir until cocoa powder is dissolved
  • Add Splenda and mix well
  • Add egg whites and stir until well combined
  • Stir in vanilla. Add flour. Mix until all the flour is mixed in (do not over mix)
  • Fold in nuts
  • Spread in pan and bake for 25 minutes
  • Cool completely before cutting into squares
