Hungarian Seiten Stew

A favorite Hungarian Seiten Stew recipe from the Pritikin Center.

Materials

  • 2 pounds seitan
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic chopped
  • 1 cup onions (vidalia) diced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 8 ounces knudsen very veggie juice
  • 1 cup vegetable stock
  • 2 pounds potato peeled & diced
  • 2 each carrot peeled & diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme picked & chopped
  • 1 cup green pepper diced
  • 1 each red peppers diced
  • 1 each yellow pepper diced
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch

Instructions

  • In a hot stock pot brown seitan, carrot, onion, garlic & peppers.
  • When browned add remaining ingredients and cook for 45 minutes over low heat.
  • Serve hot
