Learn some of the many approaches to writing your life stories, how to retrieve long-forgotten memories, painlessly organize your stories, tell an anecdote in an interesting and creative way, and so much more. Sounds like a lot of work? No way! We knock the ninth-grade English teacher with the bloody red pen off our shoulders and learn to have fun with words. Join this exciting workshop and walk out with the beginnings of your life story. No previous writing experience is necessary; the class motto is: The only way to do this wrong is to not do it at all! No previous writing experience is required to attend this workshop.

Patricia Charpentier, author of the multi-award-winning book, Eating an Elephant: Write Your Life One Bite at a Time, helps people write their personal and family history and life-based stories. To date, Patricia has coauthored, edited, and published more than seventy personal and family histories. Her belief about capturing life stories is: The only way to do this wrong is to not do it at all.

Patricia founded the online Life Writers membership in 2020. Life Writers combines three components, which she believes are necessary for success—community, instruction, and accountability—and brings people together electronically from across the US, Canada, Mexico, and Jamaica. 

Since 1999, Patricia devoted much time and effort to helping others and assisting them in preserving their stories for themselves and their families.
