Pack Your Bag

Because of our active and informal environment, we suggest you leave your jewelry at home, but we do provide safety deposit boxes in each hotel room.

Medication

This is very important. Bring your current medications IN THEIR ORIGINAL CONTAINERS, and in sufficient quantity for the duration of your stay.

Shoes & Socks

Comfortable walking or running shoes. Water shoes for aquatics class. Pilates/yoga socks.

Clothing

You'll need exercise clothing (several changes) such as shorts, T-shirts, socks, sweatpants, leggings and swimming attire. Our lecture halls are air conditioned and sometimes chilly, so pack a sweatshirt or light fitness jacket. Bring attire which you’ll be comfortable wearing to evening meals (slacks, button down, blouses etc). Women in the physician supervised program should bring a sports bra for your Treadmill Stress Test.

Please avoid any temptation you may have to “food binge” before arriving at Pritikin.
Arrival & Departure

Transportation

Your Program Coordinator will be happy to arrange transportation from local airports.
If you are arriving from Miami International Airport, there is no cost to you and the gratuity is already included.
If you are arriving from Fort Lauderdale International Airport, the cost is $60 round trip including gratuity.

Check in

Check in is after 4 p.m. on Sunday. You may arrive earlier and enjoy lunch in our restaurant. (If you arrive on Monday, please try to arrive in the morning, as early as possible.)

Tour & Orientation

After check in, you’ll be given a tour of the Pritikin Center. The Program Orientation is held on Monday morning. Please be sure to attend.

Check out

Check out is before 11 a.m. on Sunday.

During Your Stay

When friends and family wish to contact you during your stay with us, the number they should use is 305.935.7100. (It’s the number for the hotel and therefore receives calls 24/7.)
Wash & fold service is available for a small fee. Laundry dropped off at the front desk before breakfast will be returned the next day by 9AM. Dry cleaning service is available through the resort.
For your Treadmill Stress Test, please wear walking/running shoes. Women guests, please wear a bra with no underwire.
No alcoholic beverages are served or sold at the Pritikin Longevity Center, and alcohol is not permitted in public areas.

Policies and Payment Information

The total amount, minus your deposit, will be charged to your credit card on file 72 hours prior to check-in. If you prefer to pay by wire transfer or check, please call us 7 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival date to make alternate arrangements. Should you need to change your credit card once payment has been fully rendered, a 6% processing fee will be charged to the card on file.

Incidentals

Payment for any incidentals charged to your room during your stay is due upon check out and will be charged to your credit card on file unless you make other arrangements prior to your departure. The hotel will place a $75 refundable hold on the credit card you present at check-in.

Tips Included

At Pritikin, we believe in providing exceptional service without the need for additional tips. Tips are not expected. It is our pleasure to serve you.

No Resort Fees

Many resorts include a hidden resort fee that can increase your final bill by a staggering 30%.

Taxes Included

When you inquire about a stay at Pritikin, you can rest assured that all taxes are already included in our rates.
