Dr. Patricia Timerman Barbosa da Silva (Dr. T for short) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida, Board Certified Qualiﬁed Supervisor, National Board Certiﬁed Counselor, and the Executive Director of Advocate2Create.
Dr. Timerman focuses on couples therapy, anxiety management, and grief. Through her extensive work with couples and her own experiences, she has developed the IAP Model: Intention Action Perception, which serves as a "Google Translate" of communication. In using the IAP Model, Dr. T helps clients identify maladaptive patterns of communication and implement actionable coping skills to help improve communication.
