- 8 large tomatoes
- 1 cup tomatoe puree
- 1/4 cup garlic chopped
- 1 cup onion diced
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon basil (dry)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper crushed
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 teaspoon peppercorns ground
- 1/4 cup apple juice concentrate
- 1 tablespoon Splenda (optional)
- Cut, grate or puree tomatoes as desired.
- Brown onions & garlic, add tomatoes, oregano, and pepper and cook until thickened.
- Add apple juice and blend, finish with fresh basil.
