Tomato Sauce

  • 8 large tomatoes
  • 1 cup tomatoe puree
  • 1/4 cup garlic chopped
  • 1 cup onion diced
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil (dry)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper crushed
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppercorns ground
  • 1/4 cup apple juice concentrate
  • 1 tablespoon Splenda (optional)


  • Cut, grate or puree tomatoes as desired.
  • Brown onions & garlic, add tomatoes, oregano, and pepper and cook until thickened.
  • Add apple juice and blend, finish with fresh basil.
